Getting Full Ad Account Access
If you want to manage your ads on MagicBrief with other people, you need to add them to your ad account on Meta and give them full control. You can give people the following roles based on what Meta permissions you'd like them to have:
- Ad account admin: Admins can create, edit and view ads, access reports, edit payment methods and manage admin permissions.
- Ad account advertiser: Advertisers can see and edit ads and set up ads using the payment method associated with the ad account. They can also view the payment method.
- Ad account analyst: Analysts can view ads and access reports.
Note: You can only give ad account permissions to people who have Facebook accounts. If the person you want to add doesn't have a Facebook account, they can create a new one in a few steps.
How to Add & Grant Full Control on Ads Manager
- Go to Business settings and click Users —> People in the left panel
- Click “Invite People” in the top right and enter the name or email address of the person you want to give access to.
- Select the ad account and switch on full control permission to manage ad account
- Click “Invite” to finish
The person you add will have immediate access to your ad account according to the role you chose for them. You can always change their permissions or remove a person from your ad account by selecting Remove after hitting the 3 dots next to their name.
Request Access to an Ad Account
If you want to work on an ad account that is owned by another person or in another business portfolio, you can request access to it.
To request access to an ad account in Business Manager:
- Go to Business settings.
- In the dropdown menu, go to Accounts. Then click Ad accounts.
- Click the Add dropdown menu.
- Select Request access to an ad account.
- Enter the ad account ID.
- Choose the level of access you want to request: partial access or full control. If requesting partial access, select the tasks you want permission to work on.
- Click Confirm to send the request. You can access and use the ad account once your request is approved by the ad account owner or someone with full control of the business portfolio the ad account is in. Note: Approval is not required if you own the ad account or have full control of the business portfolio the ad account is in.
As an alternative, if the ad account is in a business portfolio, you can contact someone with full control of the portfolio to request that they share access with your business portfolio. Ask them to go to the Ad Accounts tab, click Assign Partner, and enter your business ID. Learn more about how to find your business ID.
